Guess what…. its Monday! Here on good girl issues, I’m here to help you take control of your week. By making a few minutes to mediate, you can not only change the atmosphere, but you can change your outlook on the entire week! In Psalms 46:10 God instructs us to be still and Know God, which means that when we choose to sit in the presence of God, with an open areas and a closed mouth, then we can attain real peace and understanding. while it is appropriate to have question and conversation with God, I challenge you to be still today. Allow God to impart His peace into your week. Selah
We are back ladies and gentlemen with a daily dose of Gods word! Join us every day for 5 mins or less as we walk through the Bible this Year.
Today was rough, this season has been difficult, and this year is coming to a close. But… You have made it. In our walk with God we are not promised a stress free life, instead we are given a gift of peace, long suffering , love, self control, and much more. What does that have to do with the struggles in life? Well, the gifts are our line of defense against the struggles that want to bring us down. God doesn’t abandon us during rough times, instead He offers the ability to overcome and even flurish. Pinpoint what gift you need in this time of pain from Galatians 5:22 , pray and ask God to show you your life vest.
Many times on this blog I share information about how to be your best you, but tonight we’re going to talk about how being the best you will positively contribute to the relationships around you.
Today we’re talking about the ability to listen, listening is a lost skill in my opinion , one in which a person is able to express themselves without the other person waiting for an opportunity to interject or give their opinion. I know it is difficult to Simply listen to a story or exclamation without remembering a similar situation of your own, but I challenge you this weekend to “intentionally listen.” Hear what the person who speaking to you is truly saying, and when they’re finished, respond… But hold your comments until then. This simple self discipline will introduce you to healthier and more fufilling relationships. Let me know how “intentionally listening” affected your weekend, Selah.
When you choose to be in relationship with God you are making the decision to transform YOUR life into an Our life. Meaning that you now consider God in everything you do. You are now living a life that isn’t solely about you, but one that advances the kingdom of God because in God you are now royalty.
Do you consider God? Know the interest of God… Care about what’s on the heart of God? If not, it’s time to step it up in the relationship. Be attentive, loving , and caring in your relationship with God. It’s not too late, today intentionally press your ear to the heart of God. Ask Him what he wants from you today… And see that His desires for you are greater than you could have ever imagined. Selah
Have you ever been taking a bath, enjoying the water , but as time passes you realize that it’s getting kind of warm? What do you do? You turn the knob and allow more hot water to come into the tub. Today I am encouraging you to pour more hot water into your tub. What I mean by this is: typically after a amazing word from God, a revelation, a breakthrough we are excited for a limited amount of time but then the water becomes warm.
I am challenging you today to stay in the tub and pour more hot water in. You pour hot water in by spending time in God’s word, by worshiping, being a blessing to one another, you pour more water in by keeping a positive continence. The temperatures in life will continue to change but we serve a God that does not make us powerless. We have the ability to fill our tub with the abundance of God’s love, provision, and life but you have to choose to stay in the tub don’t give up… You can make it just pour in a little hot water and relax. Selah
Without negating the need for feelings and emotions to be released and not suppressed… In 2017 we need to learn how to control our environment better people of God. What I mean by this is that our continence should light up a room, make someone smile, cheer up their day instead of being the core of confusion and distractions. God calls His people salt and light meaning that we are tools of retention as well as conduets of illumination. In us is the ability to preserve an atmosphere or illuminate one. Be the person who brings light, be the person who harbors joy in stressful situations, be the person that sees negativity but chooses to invite God into the room. People of God let’s raise the standard on our environment. Good gave us Dominion, it’s time to use it! Selah
One of the most incredible gifts God has given us is possiblity. But with that gift, the question must be asked… What is it that you want? Is your heart’s intention to love God, get married, be rich… What matters to you most?
When you learn to answer that question honestly, free from public impression, judgement, or condemnation then you can begin revealing the truest expression of yourself. SELAH
Your story is not over because you have not seen your promise come to pass. God is a fufilling God and He intends to bless you but you have to get up. Get up out of the bed of failure, depression, and self hatred. You are enough, you are capable, and even though you breakthrough has not come yet… You are a winner, successful, and victorious! But you can’t win unless you get up, not later right now! Psalms 1:3
